The ground floor features the main bedroom with a double bed and a large cupboard and a second (children’s) bedroom with a bunk bed and single bed. De basic bathroom features a bath, sink and shower cabin. The toilet is in a separate room.

The first floor houses the apartment which has its own and outdoor entrance. It has two rooms and a bathroom and features two single beds in the bedroom and a studio-like livingroom area. The apartment has its own terrace-space. The apartment has a magnificent view, overlooking Trinité vineyards and facing the Massif des Maures!

Surrounding

The gîte is located between the villages of Vidauban and Le Luc. Both villages are nearby and offer a wide range of bakery shops, butcher shops and traiteurs but also supermarkets such as the Carrefour in Trans en Provence, the Intermarché at Le Cannet and fairly new and giant HyperU at Les Arcs. Every day of the week there’s a market somewhere in the neighbourhood in Provencal villages like Taradeau, Lorgues, Le Muy, Flayosc and Salernes. They are worth a visit!

Côte-d’Azur beaches and the luxury seaside villages of Sainte Maxime and St. Trôpez are easy accessible by car via gorgeous touristic routes and St Raphaël, Fréjus and glamorous Cannes are only 30 - 45 minutes away by car via Le Provencale autoroute (A8). The picturesque village of TourTour (in Haute Provence) and the Lac de Sainte Croix (famous for fishing and water related activities) and the impressive Gorges du Verdon are less than an hour away by car.

Activities

The gîte is situates in between vineyards, woods and nearby picturesque hameaus, which make a great decor for long walks. Just a bit further away (max 30 minutes by car) there’s all sorts of activities such as hiking, climbing, swimming, canoeing and paragliding. The beaches of Sainte Maxime and Fréjus are about 30 km from Vidauban (via Le Muy)

Food & Wine

There are many wine houses and chateaus in the vicinity of Villajelena (check list of links on the right side of this page: Provence wines | Restaurants), some of them have Dutch and|or English speaking personnel. Regional wine is the Côte de Provence. One can do guided tours and tastings. There are many fine Provencal restaurants too.
